Our mission is to aid the low-income and homeless of Los Angeles through in-house, locally supported programs that provide fresh meals, clothing, work opportunities and ultimately the transition to full-time employment and a permanent place to live.

In 2018, a young man named Donnell Farrar saw homelessness in his community and decided to make a change. He and his friends founded 'Grab A Plate,' a nonprofit to help homeless people. They started by giving out food, clothes, and job training to those in need. Over time, the organization grew because people in the community supported their mission.
Grab A Plate didn't just stop at providing immediate help. They also worked with local businesses and groups to provide more support, like healthcare and a place to live. They wanted to help homeless individuals get back on their feet and become independent.
As more people heard about their work, Grab A Plate gained more support. Local businesses and donors joined in, allowing the organization to expand and help even more people. They also started a program where volunteers went out on the streets to talk to homeless people and offer help right there.
Donnell's dedication inspired many others to get involved in the fight against homelessness in their own communities. The important lesson here is that when you see a problem in your community, don't just talk about it. Gather your friends, take action, and make a difference! SIMPLE!
